Novalima is a collective of Peruvian musicians that has had a significant impact on the global music scene by crafting a unique sound that merges traditional Afro-Peruvian rhythms with contemporary influences of electronic, jazz, and Latin beats. The group was initially formed in 2001 by a quartet of friends from Lima, who were living in different parts of the world at the time – Ramón Pérez-Prieto, Grimaldo del Solar, Rafael Morales, and Carlos Li Carrillo.
