John Sund is a Danish guitarist, composer, arranger, producer, and studio musician from Copenhagen. He is known for his eclectic style, which he describes as "music without boundaries," blending elements of jazz, world music, rock, blues, minimal music, ambience, and classical genres. Sund has worked with a variety of notable artists and ensembles, including the Danish Radio Big Band, Palle Mikkelborg, Thomas Clausen, and Creme Fraiche Big Band. He has also led several bands, such as Acoustic Sense and World On A String, and has collaborated with international musicians like Ayi Solomon and Lelo Nika. Sund was one of the first jazz musicians to receive the prestigious Jacob Gade's Grant, recognizing his exceptional talent.
Sund's recent projects include his solo album "FACING NOW," where he plays all instruments himself, and other notable releases like "The Open Road" and collaborations with his bands.
