Mimi and Richard Farina were a folk music duo active in the 1960s. Mimi was a singer-songwriter and Richard was a singer, songwriter, and novelist. They met in 1962 and married a year later. The couple released three albums together, "Celebrations for a Grey Day" (1965), "Reflections in a Crystal Wind" (1966), and "The Complete Vanguard Recordings" (1991). Their music was known for its beautiful harmonies, poetic lyrics, and introspective themes. Tragically, Richard died in a motorcycle accident in 1966, at the age of 29. Mimi continued to perform and record as a solo artist until her death in 2001.
