The Yellow Melodies

The Yellow Melodies is an indie pop band from Murcia, Spain, formed in the late 1990s. The group consists of Rafa Skam (vocals and guitar), Antonio Clares (bass and backing vocals), Carlos Abrisqueta (keyboards, guitars, and backing vocals), and José Ángel Hernández (drums). Over the years, they have released a number of albums and EPs on various labels around the world, including The Beautiful Music in Canada, Cloudberry in the USA, and Discos Imprescindibles in Spain. Their music has been included in numerous compilations globally, and they have performed live alongside notable bands like Emma Pollock and The Ladybug Transistor, as well as at festivals such as Indietracks and Wales Goes Pop. Notable releases include their trilogy of cover albums titled *Fan #1*, *Fan #2*, and *Fan #3*, as well as recent works like *Life* and their rendition of The Ramones' *Pleasant Dreams*.

In recent years, The Yellow Melodies have continued to produce vibrant music, releasing a series of *Sunshine Pop* EPs and exploring different musical directions while maintaining their pop roots. Their work has been praised for its melodic richness and the band remains active in the indie music scene.
