Low Life

**Low Life** is a raucous Sydney-based band that’s been carving out their chaotic corner of Australia’s underground scene since forming in 2013. Blending post-punk grit, shoegaze textures, and noise-rock aggression, their sound feels like a cathartic scream into a beer-soaked void. Known for raw live energy and unflinching lyrics about urban decay, addiction, and societal alienation, they’ve built a cult following with releases like *Dogging* (2015) and *Downer Edn* (2019). Their 2023 album *The Price of Living*—featuring tracks like “No Hope” and “This Hell We Call Home”—doubles down on their signature nihilistic poetry and blown-out guitars, solidifying their rep as outsiders’ outsiders. Core members Mitch Tolman, Cristian O’Sullivan, and Greg Alfaro keep things unapologetically messy, like a party that’s equal parts euphoric and doomed.
