Guille Olivera is a trombonist and composer from Montevideo, Uruguay, born in October 1994. He's been active in the jazz, candombe, and rock scenes since 2013, and is known for his work as both a trombonist and a singer-songwriter. Olivera's debut album as a bandleader, "Trombón Banda," was released in 2021 and showcased his skills not only on trombone but also as a vocalist and guitarist.
Olivera has collaborated with several prominent Uruguayan artists, including Hugo Fattoruso, Ruben Rada, and Leo Masliah. He's also a founding member of the band La Ventolera and has performed with the MVD BigBand and La Triple Nelson. His music often blends jazz influences with Latin rhythms, reflecting his Uruguayan roots.
