The Blood Brothers

The Blood Brothers were a post-hardcore band from Seattle, Washington, known for their frenetic energy, chaotic sound, and visceral live performances. Formed in 1997, the band brought together Johnny Whitney and Jordan Blilie on dual lead vocals, Cody Votolato on guitar, Morgan Henderson on bass, and Mark Gajadhar on drums. Their music blended screaming vocals, sharp riffs, experimental punk, and art-rock elements, setting them apart in the early 2000s hardcore and screamo scene.

They released a string of influential albums, including Burn, Piano Island, Burn (2003) and Crimes (2004), which showcased their unique approach to songwriting and genre-blending. Their final album, Young Machetes, dropped in 2006 before they disbanded in 2007. The Blood Brothers left behind a legacy as one of the most inventive and boundary-pushing bands in the post-hardcore world.
