Defecto is a Danish progressive metal band hailing from Copenhagen, formed back in 2011 by a group of talented musicians who wanted to blend heavy riffs with melodic vibes and intricate songwriting. Starting out with their self-titled EP, they've built a solid rep in the metal scene through albums like Excluded (2016), Nemesis (2017), and Duality (2020), which showcase their evolution from raw energy to more polished, atmospheric tracks that tackle themes of inner turmoil and human connection.

Known for their high-energy live shows and tight musicianship, the band—led by vocalist/guitarist Nicklas Sonne, alongside guitarist Frederik Møller, bassist Thomas Bartholin, and drummer Marco Angioni—has toured extensively across Europe, sharing stages with big names like Metallica and Trivium.
