Spencer Hatcher

Spencer Hatcher is a bluegrass-influenced country artist from Virginia's Shenandoah Valley, raised on a farm in the shadow of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Nicknamed the "String King," he started picking mandolin at age eight, banjo at 12, and formed the family band The Hatcher Boys at 15 with his dad on guitar and younger brother Connor on bass, playing bluegrass at fairs, churches, and jam sessions across the region.

After studying business and bluegrass at East Tennessee State University—where he played in four bands, including a pro bluegrass outfit—Spencer went viral on TikTok in 2020 with a Johnny Cash cover, racking up over 60 million views and 850k social followers. He launched his country band that year, booking 150+ shows annually by 2023, signed with Stone Country Records in October 2024, and dropped hits like "Cold Beer and Common Sense," his debut EP *Honky Tonk Hideaway* in November 2025 (featuring the Top 10 most-added radio single "When She Calls Me Cowboy"), plus tracks like "The Way She Lies" and "On the Inside." Even after a scary 20-foot roof fall right after signing, he's living the dream with real-deal traditional country vibes inspired by Cash, Whitley, and Strait.
