X Project

X-Project is a musical group formed in 2000, consisting of Majeed Akinwunmi Akinwoye from Nigeria and Aziz Mohammed Kamara (Slez) and Salieu Umaru Sindi (Saal) from Sierra Leone. The band aimed to set standards in Afro, R&B, Hip Hop, and Dancehall music. Their debut album, "Tumba Dance," was released in 2004 in Freetown, Sierra Leone, and won a Presidential Award. Their second album, "Dance for Me," came out in 2005 in both Sierra Leone and Nigeria. X-Project also released a third album, "Sierra-Naija," in late 2007, featuring the hit song "Lori le." The group has performed across several African countries and was once nominated for an AMEN Award. Majeed is no longer part of the group.

Some of their notable songs include "Aye Mi," "Na Wa," and "Lori le." X-Project has been active in the music scene for many years, contributing to the vibrant musical landscape of West Africa. Despite changes in the group's lineup, they continue to be remembered for their energetic and catchy tunes.
