Dasa Laxmi

**Dasa Laxmi** is a talented folk singer from the small village of Gannora in Mudhole mandal, Nirmal district, Telangana, India, born to farmer parents Laxman and Jayasheela. Growing up with a tough childhood, she worked in farms, brick kilns, and even rolled beedis to help her family and fund her schooling, often missing classes, but she found her passion for singing early on by watching her grandmother Dev Bai.

Her big break came in 2017 with the folk hit "O Bavo Saidulu" produced by Gaddam Ramesh, which exploded on YouTube with massive views and put her on the map—she's since recorded 300-400 folk songs under music director GL Namdev. Laxmi's powerful voice shone in films like "Dasara" and "Batch," and she recently stole the spotlight with "Peelings" from *Pushpa 2*, earning props from Allu Arjun and Sukumar; now a mom to a one-year-old, she's eyeing Bollywood next while dropping fun tracks like "Chalo Chalo Kamalamma" remixes and "Bathukamma Pata."
