Andy Boay

Andy Boay is a solo project from Andy White, a musician known for being part of the cult-beloved psych band Tonstartssbandht alongside his brother Edwin. Originating from Orlando, Florida, Andy also spent years playing guitar in Mac DeMarco's band. His solo work as Andy Boay combines guitar playing with a cappella singing and live video interactions, blending styles that range from psych-pop to '70s-inspired riffs and humanist melodies. Recently, he announced a new album titled *You Took That Walk For The Two Of Us*, reflecting on his friendship with the late Surfer Blood guitarist Thomas Fekete, among other themes.

Andy Boay's music is characterized by its eclectic style, often appealing to fans of avant-pop and experimental sounds. His recent releases include *One & One*, *LIVE IN MONTREAL 17 MAY 2023*, *In the Light*, *Evil Masters*, and *Born To Fully*. These projects continue his decade-long solo writing and recording journey, which began with his early psych-folk project, The Media. Currently based in New York City, Andy continues to explore a wide range of musical expressions both as a solo artist and as part of Tonstartssbandht.
