David R. Erb

Dr. David R. Erb is an American conductor and music pedagogue known for his extensive work in choral music. He earned his Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1992, followed by a Master of Music degree in Choral Conducting from Westminster Choir College of Rider University in 1997. He later acquired a Doctorate of Musical Arts and Choral Conducting from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2007. Dr. Erb has taught and conducted at prominent institutions such as Lawrence University Conservatory of Music, University of Wisconsin-Madison, and Bucknell University. He is currently active in the Moscow choral community and has been involved with local churches. Notably, he has composed a collection of Psalm settings titled "Cantica Sanctorum: A Collection of Psalms, Hymns, and Spiritual Songs," which reflects his dedication to using music as a tool for Christian worship and education.

Dr. Erb's compositions often focus on sacred music, aiming to enhance worship and spiritual growth through his work. His most recent projects include work with Praetorius Publications, a music publishing company he co-founded to promote accessible and high-quality choral literature. Despite his involvement in various musical endeavors, his central focus remains on fostering a deeper connection between music and faith within church communities. Releases such as "Rejoice and Be Merry" and "Elect of God" also highlight his commitment to creating meaningful, spiritually driven music.
