Tension

Tension is primarily known as a Taiwanese R&B and pop group that gained recognition in the early 2000s. The band consists of five members: Brian Fong, John Baik, Jimmy Hung, Andy Lee, and Raymond Hu. Discovered by Taiwanese artist and producer David Tao during a performance in Los Angeles, they were signed by EMI Taiwan and became one of the first Asian-American groups to break into the Taiwanese music scene. Their debut album, "Smart" (2001), was a major success, selling over 200,000 copies quickly and setting a record for highest first-week album sales at the time. Following their debut, they released the albums "Gotta Be Your Man" in 2003 and "Planet Love," earning accolades such as Best Album and Best Hit Single at Singapore awards and a nomination for Best Group at the Golden Melody Awards. The group also participated in charitable events and had endorsements with brands like Doritos and PH Land.

It is worth noting that there are other bands named Tension, including a hardcore punk band from Florida active in the 1990s and a heavy/power metal band from Maryland formed in the 1980s. However, based on the recent releases provided, the Taiwanese R&B/pop group matches best with the described discography and activity.
