Hodgson’s performances blended emotional depth with impeccable technique, especially in works by Purcell, Ireland, and other English composers. Her legacy endures through standout collaborations with orchestras like the London Philharmonic and her contributions to iconic labels like Hyperion and EMI. Sadly, she passed away in 1992, but her recordings continue to captivate listeners with their warmth and authority.
