Lindsey Ray

Lindsey Ray (born Lindsey Bachelder) is a soulful singer-songwriter from Belfast, Maine, who knew from age five she was destined for the stage—thanks to her musical family roots, especially her dad's piano playing and singing. She started performing locally young, hit LA at 13 for singing competitions (nailing top honors), and by 15 was shuttling to NYC for recording sessions, chasing that big record deal. After years of trying to fit someone else's mold, she headed home, jammed with local bands across hip-hop, soul, jazz, and reggae, then poured her heart into originals like "A Song for Sam" after losing a friend. Adopting her stage name to honor her late grandpa Raymond, she moved to California in 2008, linked up with hitmakers like Charlie Midnight and Tim Myers (ex-OneRepublic), and scored sync gold—think Target ads with "Brand New Day," plus TV spots on shows like *Chuck*, *Castle*, and even Yoplait commercials.

These days, Nashville-based Lindsey keeps the hits coming as a versatile producer and artist (also rocking aliases like Rayelle and Olly Anna), with recent singles like **Weightless**, **Angus**, **the cycle repeats**, **Snowscape**, and more lighting up playlists—many earning Billboard sync nods for tracks like "Keep You Safe" and "I Am Here." Her debut EP *Picture Perfect* dropped in 2009, followed by the full-length *Goodbye From California* in 2010, blending heartfelt lyrics on life's ups and downs with that optimistic vibe she does so well. She's co-written big ones too, like Mariah Carey's "Almost Home" for *Oz the Great and Powerful*.
