Igor Yalivec

Igor Yalivec is an interdisciplinary artist from Ukraine, known for his work in media art with over 20 years of experience. He is a sound designer and inventor of electro-acoustic instruments, often incorporating modular synthesizers into his music. His compositions are characterized by fragile, dreamy improvisational canvases influenced by academic composition and modern electro-acoustic music. Yalivec is also a co-founder of the electronic bands Gamardah Fungus and Submatukana. He has been involved in various international festivals and has curated compilations of experimental music from Ukraine, highlighting the resilience of Ukrainian artists during challenging times.

Recent releases from Igor Yalivec include "Ad Astra," "Etudes," "Still Life," and "Generative Nocturne," showcasing his continued exploration of ambient and experimental soundscapes. Despite the challenges faced by artists in Ukraine, Yalivec remains active in his hometown of Dnipro, continuing to create and share his music.
