Antimaniax

Antimaniax is a skacore band from Austria, formed in 1998. They are known for their anti-authoritarian lyrics and energetic sound, which blends ska and punk elements. Their discography includes a demo titled *We're Tryin'* (2000), followed by two mini albums: *As Long As People Think* (2002) and *I'm Without Sleep... In This Desert of Concrete* (2003), both released on Household Name Records. Antimaniax actively supported social causes, such as animal rights, and their members were predominantly vegan. The band had an intense touring schedule, including performances in the UK and Eastern Europe, and also participated in a U.S. tour with Leftöver Crack. However, the band announced a hiatus in early 2006 when their bassist left, which halted their plans for a new album.

Known for their dynamic live performances, Antimaniax's music resonated with fans of the ska-punk genre. They also contributed to benefit projects, such as the *Until Every Cage Is Empty* CD, supporting animal rights. Despite their active start, the band is now considered inactive, with their last noted activities dating back to 2006.
