Young Gunz

Young Gunz, a hip-hop duo originating from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is composed of rappers Young Chris (Chris Ries) and Neef Buck (Hanif Muhammad). Formed in the early 2000s, the duo gained initial recognition and success as members of Roc-A-Fella Records' rap collective, State Property. Their chemistry and seamless collaboration on the microphone quickly put them in the spotlight, leading to the release of their debut album "Tough Luv" in 2004. The album, which featured hits such as “Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop” and “No Better Love,” captured the gritty essence of Philadelphia street tales and the authenticity of their lived experiences, propelling them to significant prominence within the hip-hop community.

Following the success of their first album, Young Gunz continued to build on their distinctive sound. Their sophomore project, "Brothers From Another" released in 2005, solidified their standing with tracks that showcased their evolving artistry and growth. Despite a tumultuous music industry landscape and changes within the Roc-A-Fella label, Young Gunz remained resolute, subsequently releasing a series of mixtapes and singles over the years. Their determination to their craft led to their latest projects, including "Back to Business" and the single "Sauce (feat. Brando)." As they grew in their careers, the duo never drifted from their roots, consistently delivering hard-hitting lyrics intertwined with the realities of their upbringing, as heard in their most recent mixtape "Possession With Intent To Deliver." Young Gunz’s contribution to the rap game remains recognized by both their loyal fan base and rap aficionados who appreciate their unyielding dedication to authentic hip-hop.
