Daisy Chainsaw was a British alternative rock band that emerged in the early 1990s, known for their chaotic energy, heavy guitar riffs, and wild, confrontational performances. Formed in London in 1989 by guitarist Crispin Gray and vocalist KatieJane Garside, the band quickly gained attention with their unique fusion of punk, grunge, and avant-garde theatrics. Their breakthrough came with the 1992 single "Love Your Money," which brought them some commercial success and introduced their debut album Eleventeen to a wider audience.
Garside’s haunting and often unhinged vocal style became a defining feature of Daisy Chainsaw's sound but she left the band shortly after the release of Eleventeen. The band continued briefly with a new vocalist before disbanding in the mid-1990s. Despite their short run, Daisy Chainsaw has left a lasting impact on the underground rock scene and developed a cult following, particularly admired for their uncompromising artistic style and intense live shows.
