He began learning the baglama at the age of eight and first appeared on stage around the age of thirteen. Erenler's musical journey includes performing in various casinos in the early 1960s and working at Ankara Radio after passing an audition for Turkish Radio and Television (TRT) in 1966. He also lectured at the Istanbul State Conservatory, showcasing his depth and commitment to traditional Turkish music.
