Usssy is a Moscow-based noise-rock band formed in 2007 by guitarists Artem Galkin and Pavel Eremeev. Initially, the band also included Sergey Ledowski on drums, completing the trio. After releasing their self-titled debut album, Sergey left the group. Usssy is known for blending traditional Middle Eastern sounds with noise-rock energy, often incorporating quarter-tone scales into their music. This unique blend gives their sound a distinctive avant-rock edge.
Their discography includes albums like "Naghma," "Po Krugu," and "Voyage," showcasing their experimental approach to music. Usssy's live performances, such as their show on Radio Substantsiya and Live in Vilnus, further highlight their dynamic energy and eclectic style. With releases like "Afghan Music House Party" and "oKo," they continue to explore diverse musical influences while maintaining their noise-rock roots.
