Daniela Rossi is an award-winning classical guitarist from Bahía Blanca, Argentina, currently based in Cambridge, UK. She began playing guitar at the age of six and has since won numerous international competitions, including first prize at the London International Guitar Competition in 2015 and the Luis Sigall International Music Competition in Chile in 2009. Daniela has studied with prominent guitarists worldwide and is especially known for her deep interest in the Romantic composer Giulio Regondi, as well as Latin American music.
Her repertoire also includes contemporary works, and she has inspired several composers such as Dušan Bogdanović, Vincent Lindsey-Clark, and Jeffrey McFadden to write new pieces dedicated to her. Daniela’s recent recordings feature these modern guitar works alongside classical repertoire, showcasing her versatility and passion for expanding the classical guitar’s boundaries.
