Zoxea, born Jean-Jacques Kodjo on November 11, 1974, is a French rapper known for his involvement in the influential hip-hop group Les Sages Poètes de la Rue. He was raised in the Castéja Project of Boulogne-Billancourt, Hauts-de-Seine. As part of Les Sages Poètes de la Rue, alongside his brother Melopheelo and Dany Dan, Zoxea contributed to the group's debut album, "Qu'est ce qui fait marcher les Sages," in 1995. This album showcased an old-school, jazzy approach to hip-hop. Zoxea later launched a successful solo career, releasing his debut album "À mon tour d’briller" in 1999. This album achieved gold status the same year, featuring guest appearances by notable artists like Beat de Boul, Don Choa, and Kool Shen. Zoxea has also been involved in various collaborations and has formed his own label, KDBZik, with his brother to maintain their independent spirit.
Throughout his career, Zoxea has continued to contribute to the French hip-hop scene both as a solo artist and as a member of Les Sages Poètes de la Rue.
