Aldir Blanc was a legendary Brazilian lyricist, poet, and composer whose words shaped the soundtrack of MPB (Música Popular Brasileira) for decades. Born in Rio de Janeiro, he started his career in the 1970s after leaving his psychiatry practice, partnering with composers like João Bosco and Maurício Tapajós to create timeless songs. His poetic, socially conscious lyrics graced classics like "O Bêbado e a Equilibrista" (a symbol of hope during Brazil’s dictatorship era) and earned him a revered spot in Brazilian culture. A master collaborator, his recent releases with Tapajós – like the *Volume 01* and *Volume 02* collections – showcase his enduring creativity.
