SHERBETS

SHERBETS is a Japanese alternative rock band known for their distinct sound, which blends elements of punk, rock, and a touch of blues. Formed in 1998 by Kenichi Asai following the disbandment of his previous band, BLANKEY JET CITY, SHERBETS quickly made a name for themselves in the Japanese rock scene. Asai, the frontman and a prolific figure in Japanese music, is known for his charismatic presence and raw guitar performances. He is joined by a talented lineup of musicians, including Toshiyuki Terui on bass, Shinji Miyake on guitar, and Koichi Kawanishi on drums. Together, they have crafted a musical identity that resonates with a loyal fanbase.

Over the years, SHERBETS have released a steady stream of albums and singles, each showcasing their ability to evolve while staying true to their core sound. Their most recent releases include the rhythmically commanding single "Baby Car," the dynamic "Midnight Chocolate - EP," and the gritty track "知らない道." With songs like "UK" and "Same," the band continues to deliver robust rock anthems, while "欲望の種類" taps into their darker musical veins. "FREE" celebrates the band's unchained musical spirit, "SIBERIAN MADNESS" exemplifies their more intense side, "Natural" embraces their melodic instincts, and "AURORA" is a testament to their experimental edge. SHERBETS remain a powerful force in the Japanese music scene, consistently captivating audiences with their raw energy and distinct sound.
