Sidsel Storm

Sidsel Storm is a Danish jazz singer-songwriter born on November 20, 1982. She began her journey into jazz in 2002 by attending the Den Rytmiske Højskole in Vig. The following year, she started studying voice at Musikalsk Grundkursus in Copenhagen and participated in the Brandbjerg Jazzstævne from 2003 to 2004. This period was pivotal as she formed her jazz band, the Sidsel Storm Quartet, and performed at various jazz festivals in Denmark. She also joined the pop-electro band Next To Beluga and sang backing vocals for other artists. In 2007, she moved to New York to pursue a degree in Voice Embodiment. Her self-titled debut album was released in 2008, featuring notable musicians like Morten Lund and Jacob Karlzon.

Sidsel Storm has continued to build a successful career in music, releasing several albums and earning recognition, including the Danish Songwriters Guild Prize in 2008. Her work spans multiple genres, showcasing her versatility as a singer, songwriter, and producer. Despite her early focus on jazz, her recent releases suggest a broader musical scope, with titles like "Back to You," "Awake," and "Nothing in Between" reflecting her evolving style.
