**Envy of None** is a Canadian alt-rock/electronic project featuring Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson, bassist Andy Curran (Coney Hatch), producer Alfio Annibalini, and vocalist Maiah Wynne. Formed around 2021, the band blends moody atmospherics, gritty guitar textures, and Wynne’s haunting vocals into a sound that’s darker and more experimental than Lifeson’s iconic prog-rock roots. Their self-titled debut album (2022) includes tracks like *Liar*, *Look Inside*, and *Shadow*—a collaboration with Steven Wilson—showcasing their knack for brooding, cinematic soundscapes. While Lifeson’s presence draws attention, the group thrives on collaborative chemistry, weaving electronic loops and ethereal melodies into a vibe that’s both introspective and groove-driven.
