Los Siete Delfines are an Argentinian rock band formed at the beginning of the 1990s by Richard Coleman and Horacio "Gamexane" Villafañe. They emerged following the dissolution of Fricción, a band in which Coleman was involved, and Todos Tus Muertos, where Villafañe played. Initially, the duo was later joined by Braulio Aguirre on drums and Ricardo Sáenz Paz on bass. Despite not having released an album at the time, they were named "Banda Revelación" (New Band Revelation) in 1990 by the *Sí* supplement of Clarín newspaper. They gained significant popularity after performing alongside renowned artists like Charly García and Luis Alberto Spinetta.
Their discography includes notable albums such as "L7D" (1992), produced by Gustavo Cerati, "Nada Memorable" (1993), "Desierto" (1995), "Azulado" (1996), "Dark" (1997), "Regio" (a live album, 1999), "Aventura" (2001), and "Carnaval de Fantasmas" (2008). The band's sound is rooted in rock alternativo, with their music style evolving over the years. Richard Coleman left the band in 2010 to pursue a solo career, but the remaining members continued performing and creating music until 2023.
