Stonefield is an all-female rock band hailing from Australia, known for their heavy psychedelic-influenced sound and musicianship rooted deeply in classic rock. The band consists of four sisters: Amy Findlay on lead vocals and drums, Hannah Findlay on guitar, Sarah Findlay on keys, and Holly Findlay on bass. Since their emergence, Stonefield has garnered attention and praise for their nostalgic yet fresh take on rock music, which combines elements of 70s psychedelia, progressive rock, and a touch of modern grunge.
The sisters' journey began in their early teens, initially garnering national attention after winning the Triple J Unearthed High contest in 2010. Since then, Stonefield has released several acclaimed albums, with "As Above, So Below" (2016) being their breakthrough, followed by "Far From Earth" (2018), produced by Black Mountain’s Stephen McBean, which saw them further honing their retro yet timeless rock vibe. The 2019 album "BENT" continued their evolution, deepening their explorations into the realms of psych-rock with ever more complex arrangements and mature songwriting. The sisters brought their dynamic sound to life on stages across the globe and sessions like "Stonefield on Audiotree Live," showcasing their robust live presence and charting their growth as a significant force in the modern rock scene.
