Max von Schillings

Max von Schillings was a German composer, conductor, and opera director. Born in Düren, Germany, in 1868, he studied music at the Cologne Conservatory and later in Munich. Schillings is best known for his operas, including "Mona Lisa" and "Moloch," which were popular in the early 20th century. He also composed orchestral works, chamber music, and songs. As a conductor, Schillings led the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra and the Vienna State Opera. He died in Berlin in 1933.
