DVS1 is the alias of Zak Khutoretsky, a Minneapolis-based DJ and producer known for his deep, driving techno and dedication to underground club culture. With roots in the Midwest rave scene, DVS1 has built a global reputation for his powerful DJ sets, often favoring vinyl and an all-hardware setup to deliver rich, immersive performances. His releases have appeared on acclaimed labels like Klockworks (run by Berlin techno luminary Ben Klock) and Axis, showcasing his minimalist yet emotionally resonant sound.

As a regular at iconic clubs like Berghain, DVS1 is known for his versatility behind the decks, seamlessly moving between darker techno and more atmospheric grooves. His 2018 contribution to the fabric mix series, fabric 96, received critical acclaim for its intensity and cohesion.
