Bad Religion

Bad Religion is an influential American punk rock band that first emerged from the sprawling suburbs of Los Angeles in 1980. Renowned for their fast-paced music, intellectual lyrics, and melodic harmonies, they have maintained a steadfast presence in the punk scene for over four decades. The band was formed by high school students Greg Graffin, Brett Gurewitz, Jay Bentley, and Jay Ziskrout, who sought to bring an erudite edge to the burgeoning punk movement, fusing their critiques of society, politics, and religion into their music.

Rising to fame with their third album, "Suffer," in 1988, Bad Religion helped rejuvenate the punk genre, influencing countless other bands with their style and substance. Over the years, the lineup has changed, but Graffin and Gurewitz, the principal songwriters, have remained core members, guiding the band through a revered discography. Noteworthy releases like "True North," "Christmas Songs," and their politically-charged 2019 album "Age of Unreason," continue to resonate with fans both old and new. In their most recent offerings, including singles like "The Kids Are Alt-Right" and "Emancipation Of The Mind," Bad Religion's commitment to addressing contemporary issues while keeping their foundational punk ethos intact has solidified their status as venerated veterans of the punk rock world.
