Caitlin Sullivan is a versatile cellist based in New York City who bridges classical and contemporary music with ease. She is a longtime member of the innovative Brooklyn ensemble The Knights and the chamber music collective Decoda, the first Affiliate Ensemble of Carnegie Hall. Caitlin has toured extensively across the US, Europe, and Asia, performing in prestigious venues like Lincoln Center and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where she also curated multimedia chamber music programs. Besides live performances, she collaborates closely with her husband, film composer Nicholas Britell, contributing cello to film scores such as *If Beale Street Could Talk*, *Moonlight*, and *She Said*.
In 2019, Caitlin released her solo debut album *A Page From*, featuring new works written specifically for her by contemporary composers including Gabriel Kahane and Nicholas Britell. She also serves as an educator and curator, leading family concerts and educational events in museums and arts organizations around New York and beyond, fostering engagement with classical music for all ages. Additionally, Caitlin frequently performs as a substitute cellist with the New York Philharmonic, showcasing her versatility in orchestral settings.
