Enzo Minarelli

Enzo Minarelli is a multifaceted artist born in 1951, known for his work in sound poetry, visual poetry, and video poetry. Since the early 1970s, he has been active in exploring the intersections of writing, orality, performance, and visual arts. Minarelli is the theorist behind Polypoetry, a concept he formalized in his 1987 manifesto. He has performed extensively both nationally and internationally, creating one-man shows that blend sound and visual elements. As a publisher, he founded the 3ViTre Records series and the 3ViTre Archive of Polypoetry, which collects verbo-voco-visual materials. His work includes numerous books on poetry and essays about the history of sound poetry, such as "Vocalità & Poesia" and "La Voce della Poesia - Vocoralità del Novecento." Minarelli has also produced video poems since the early 1980s, collaborating with institutions like the Centro Video Arte di Ferrara.

Minarelli's recent releases include "De Revolutionibus," "Phonosensitivity," and "Fame." His artistic endeavors have been recognized through various exhibitions and festivals, showcasing his innovative approach to sound and visual poetry. As a visiting poet, he has taught at several universities around the world, including institutions in the United States, Mexico, and Brazil. His contributions to the field of sound poetry have made him a significant figure in contemporary avant-garde art.
