Mike + The Mechanics is a British pop/rock supergroup formed in 1985 as a side project by Mike Rutherford, the bassist and guitarist of the world-renowned band Genesis. The collective has been known for their melodic pop rock with a progressive twist, bringing together the talents of various accomplished musicians. Over the years, their lineup has experienced changes, with Rutherford being the consistent driving force. The band's sound is characterized by soulful, harmonic vocals and thought-provoking lyrics, underpinned by Rutherford's distinctive guitar work.
