Roger Woodward
Roger Woodward is an Australian pianist known for his virtuosic technique and adventurous programming. Born in Sydney in 1942, Woodward began playing the piano at the age of four and made his professional debut at 16. He has since performed with major orchestras around the world and has recorded over 100 albums, spanning a wide range of repertoire from Bach to contemporary works. Woodward is particularly renowned for his interpretations of 20th-century composers such as Debussy, Ravel, and Messiaen. He is also a passionate advocate for new music and has premiered many works by Australian and international composers.
