Maritta Kuula

Maritta Kuula is a Finnish singer-songwriter known for her distinctive vocal style and creative approach to music. She began her solo career in 1992 with the album *Maritta Kuula ja Karvanopat*, released under the Herodes label. Over the years, she has released several albums, including *Valo ota vastaan* (1997), *Jeesus Hollywoodissa* (1999), *9 henkeä* (2002), *Ampiaisten kuningatar* (2008), *Kuuluisaa sukua* (2014), and more recently, *Sininen pallo* (2023). Her music often blends different genres and features a mix of light-hearted and darker themes. Kuula is also a member of the band 500 kg lihaa, which has been active since the 1980s and is known for interpreting the works of Finnish poets like Uuno Kailas.
