She Wants Revenge

She Wants Revenge is an American rock duo hailing from Los Angeles, California, formed in 2004. The group is composed of Justin Warfield, a singer, guitarist, and keyboardist, and Adam Bravin (also known as DJ Adam 12), a bassist, keyboardist, and drummer. Fueled by their shared love for dark, melancholic melodies and storytelling through music, their sound is deeply rooted in post-punk and darkwave, echoing the brooding tones of Joy Division, Depeche Mode, and The Cure. They garnered considerable attention with their self-titled debut album "She Wants Revenge" in 2006, which featured the hit "Tear You Apart," and successfully placed them on the map as a new force in the resurgence of post-punk and synth-infused rock.

The band continued to build their discography with the follow-up album "This Is Forever" in 2007, and later "Valleyheart" in 2011, showing a more mature sound while maintaining their signature gloomy romantic themes. Despite their rather on-and-off activity throughout the years, which included brief hiatuses and reunion announcements, She Wants Revenge has remained relevant in the alternative scene with notable singles like "Must Be the One" and "Big Love" securing their spot on the playlists of fans who savor the darker shades of alternative music. Their enigmatic presence and lyrical prowess continue to captivate audiences, making them an enduring act in a genre that celebrates the beauty of the darker aspects of the human experience.
