Los Piratas is a Spanish pop-rock band hailing from Vigo, formed in 1991 by five friends including lead vocalist and primary songwriter Iván Ferreiro. Starting out with a more teen-oriented rock style, they quickly evolved their sound into something much richer and more complex. Over their 12-year run, they became one of the most influential pop/rock bands in Spain, known for blending catchy melodies with meaningful lyrics. Some of their biggest hits come from the mid-90s album *Poligamia*, featuring standout tracks like "Promesas Que No Valen Nada" and "La Sal." Their 2001 album *Ultrasónica* is often cited as a high point in Spanish rock music history. Though the band hasn’t released a new album since 2008’s *Disco Duro*, they surprised fans with a new single, "Imprescindibles," in 2021, proving their lasting impact on the Spanish rock scene.
