Chris Spedding

Chris Spedding is an English rock and roll and jazz guitarist, recognized for his distinctive style and versatility in various musical genres. With a career spanning over four decades, Spedding gained a reputation as one of the UK's premier session guitarists, contributing to albums by artists ranging from Paul McCartney and Elton John to Roxy Music and The Wombles. Born on June 17, 1944, in Staveley, Derbyshire, he initially dabbled in jazz, playing in the Frank Ricotti Quartet, before delving into rock music in the early 1970s.
