The Moon Illusion

The Moon Illusion is a Turkish post-punk band from Ankara, formed in 2018. The group is known for their unique blend of shoegaze and post-punk sounds, often described as "shoegaze loving post punk revivalists." The band consists of Tuna Akar on vocals, Mertkan Akçalı on guitar, Alper Önen on bass, and Taylan Gürler on drums. They have released several notable tracks and EPs, including "Bedlam Stories," which showcases their ability to create an intense and atmospheric sound with reverb-infused guitars and deep, edgy vocals.

The Moon Illusion's music often captures a sense of tension and uncertainty, with songs like "Coil" featuring a dark, mysterious vibe. Their releases have been well-received, and they continue to contribute to the post-punk scene with their distinctive sound. Before adopting their current name, the band was formerly known as "İyi," which they used from 2013 until their rebranding.
