Index For Working Musik

Index For Working Musik is a London-based experimental music collective formed in late 2019 by Max Oscarnold and Nathalia Bruno. The group's origin story involves discovering photocopies in Barcelona's Gothic Quarter, which inspired their musical direction. They later set up an 8-track studio in London and were joined by drummer Bobby Voltaire, bassist E. Smith, and guitarist J. Loftus.

The band's debut album, "Dragging the Needlework for the Kids at Uphole," was released on Tough Love Records. Their music is characterized by a unique blend of experimental guitar sounds, improvisation, and a 'first thought, best thought' approach to composition. The COVID-19 lockdown period allowed the group to focus intensely on their craft, resulting in a sound that balances noise elements with more melodic, atmospheric pieces.
