Violetta Bielecka is a renowned Polish conductor and educator, best known for her work as the conductor and artistic director of the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic Choir in Białystok. Born on March 2, 1957, she earned an MA degree in choral conducting with distinction from the State Higher School of Music in Warsaw and completed a post-graduate program at the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz. In 2000, she was awarded the title of professor of musical arts. Bielecka has led various ensembles, including the Białystok Chamber Choir "Cantica Cantamus," and has been a vocal consultant for the Polish National Opera in Warsaw. Her ensembles have received numerous awards, including three Fryderyk Awards and an International Classical Music Award in 2018.
Bielecka is also a dedicated educator, teaching at the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw and previously at the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz. She has been recognized with several honors, including a Silver Gloria Artis Medal, a Gold Cross of Merit, and a Presidential Medal for Long Service. Her work spans both national and international stages, with performances at notable festivals like the Chopin and his Europe Festival. As of December 2020, she took on the role of acting director of the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic. Her recent collaborations include recordings such as Rachmaninoff's "All-night Vigil" and "The New Polish Music Panorama, Vol. 1."
