Glass Cloud

Glass Cloud is an American metalcore band that emerged from the hardcore scene with a sonic intensity that caught the attention of metal aficionados worldwide. Formed in 2011, the group was founded by former Sky Eats Airplane and Of Mice & Men frontman Jerry Roush, alongside guitar virtuoso Josh Travis, bassist Travis Sykes, and drummer Chad Hasty. Heralded for their technical skill and aggressive performance style, Glass Cloud made a formidable entrance with their debut full-length album, "The Royal Thousand," released in 2012 through Equal Vision Records. The album showcased a blend of chaotic riffs, atmospheric elements, and formidable vocals, establishing the band at the forefront of progressive metalcore.

Following their impressive debut, Glass Cloud solidified their reputation with the EP "Perfect War Forever" in 2013, where they pushed the boundaries of their sound with even more complex guitar work and a relentless rhythmic assault. The band's ability to fuse dizzying guitar technicality with songwriting that finds a balance between melody and aggression garnered a dedicated following. Although their output has been limited, with their most recent work being the self-titled single "Glass Cloud" after a period of silence, the band's influence on the genre and their dynamic and formidable discography continues to resonate with fans and inspire fellow musicians within the heavy music scene.
