Zé Mulato & Cassiano is a renowned Brazilian sertanejo duo composed of brothers José das Dores Fernandes (Zé Mulato) and João Monteiro da Costa Neto (Cassiano). Born in Passabém, Minas Gerais, they moved to Brasília in 1969. The duo officially formed in 1974 and released their first album in 1978, titled *Zé Mulato e Cassiano Interpretam Zé Carreiro e Carreirinho*. Known for their authentic caipira style, they have been active in the music scene since the late 1960s. Over the years, they have received several awards, including the Prêmio Sharp and Prêmio da Música Brasileira. Their music often reflects their roots and cultural heritage, blending traditional rhythms with contemporary themes.

Their discography includes notable albums like *Meu Céu*, *Navegantes das Gerais*, *Sangue Novo*, *Ciência Matuta*, and *Rei Caipira*.
