Michael Kevin Jones

**Michael Kevin Jones** is a British-born cellist with a rich musical history. Born in London, England, he began playing the cello at the age of 13 under the guidance of Pauline Ballard and Dulce Haigh Marshall. He furthered his studies at the Royal College of Music in London, where he was a pupil of Joan Dickson and later won prizes for solo and chamber music playing. He was chosen to perform for the British Royal Family and received a German government scholarship to study cello under Johannes Goritzki in Düsseldorf. Jones has toured extensively around the world, performing with notable groups and artists, including the Moscow Virtuosi and in major festivals like Salzburg and Kuhmo. He is also known for his work with the cello-guitar duo, which has gained international recognition.

Michael Kevin Jones is celebrated for his diverse musical projects, including the recording of the complete Bach Cello Suites on a 1667 Stradivarius cello for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. His collaborations and tours have taken him across the globe, from China and Europe to the Americas and Australia. He currently resides in Madrid, Spain. His recent works include a variety of classical pieces and collaborations with other artists, showcasing his versatility as a musician.
