Autumn Tears is a long-running neoclassical darkwave project founded in the mid-1990s by composer Ted Tringo. Known for their lush orchestral arrangements, ethereal vocals, and cinematic atmosphere, Autumn Tears blends elements of classical music, world music, and darkwave to create an emotionally immersive soundscape. Their debut album, Love Poems for Dying Children: Act I, helped define their signature style and has since been followed by several sequels and reissues.
The project often features a wide range of guest musicians and vocalists, adding to the depth and variety of each release. After a hiatus in the early 2000s, Autumn Tears returned with new material that expanded on their original sound, leading to acclaimed albums like The Origin of Sleep and Guardian of the Pale. With their meticulously crafted compositions and haunting beauty, Autumn Tears remains a distinctive voice in the darkwave and neoclassical world music scene.
