Humbreaders

Humbreaders (ハンブレッダーズ) is an Osaka-based Japanese Pop band formed by high school friends in 2009, originally gathering for a school culture festival performance. The trio—Akira Mutsumuro (vocals/guitar), Derashi (bass/chorus), and Kijima (drums)—has developed a devoted following through their dynamic live shows and genre-blending sound that mixes J-pop energy with rock intensity and electronic flourishes. Known for tracks like *夜明けの歌* (TV anime *Magic Maker*’s ending theme) and *バタフライエフェクト*, their music balances introspective lyrics about love, self-discovery, and human connection with festival-ready melodies that have ignited crowds at major events like Rock In Japan and Japan Jam.

While early performances were self-described as “disastrous” yet life-altering, their recent work (including 2025’s *夜明けの歌*) showcases a matured ability to blend raw emotion with arena-scale ambition, solidifying their status as innovative players in Japan’s modern pop landscape. Fans gravitate to their relatable storytelling and the chemistry of a band that’s evolved together for over 15 years.
