Stephane K, also known as Stephane Kaneda, is an influential figure in the electronic and house music scene, best known as one half of the American international DJ duo John Creamer & Stephane K. Based in New York City, the duo has been active since 1998, gaining recognition for their original dance singles and standout remixes for major artists including Moby, New Order, and Sinéad O'Connor. Stephane K's musical journey started far from New York, with roots in Tokyo and Paris where he was involved in alternative rock and collaborations like "Bipath" with Satoshi Tomiie before transitioning into house music. Together with John Creamer, a Philly-born musician turned house producer, they transformed the genre by blending classic New York house with the edgier influences of hip hop, electronica, and dub, earning accolades such as Remix Magazine’s ‘Remixer of the Year’ in 2002. Their work includes the iconic track "Forget The World," which still sees new remix releases decades later, underscoring their lasting impact on electronic dance music culture.
